Jenna Johnson - Student Intern
Hello and welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.
Beginning therapy can feel both hopeful and vulnerable as it takes courage to share what feels difficult. Perhaps you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or you’re struggling with your mental health. Wherever you find yourself, you do not have to carry this alone. Here, you can be understood and supported in a non-judgemental space as you explore difficult emotions and experiences, celebrate wins, or reconnect to your inner strength to navigate life’s ups and downs.
My Approach
In working together, you can expect a warm, curious, and gentle yet honest approach. I care deeply about creating a safe therapeutic space built on trust where you can show up as your authentic self, and your experiences are genuinely seen and handled with care. My approach is holistic and attachment-focused, grounded in self-compassion and an appreciation for the many strengths you already have. I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative and tailored to who you are. I often draw on evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help you understand your emotions, relationships, and experiences from the past that may influence how you relate to yourself and others presently. I would be honoured to walk alongside you with compassion, and help you explore how you can (re)connect to the life you truly want to live.

About Me
Over the past eight years, I have had the honour of supporting individuals within the helping profession, including working as a social worker in mental health, healthcare, and counselling in correctional facilities. These experiences have shown me the incredible resilience and capacity for growth people possess, even in their most difficult times.
In my free time you can find me grabbing a caramel latte and walking along the river, experimenting with a sourdough recipe (with varying degrees of success), and attempting anything creative.
