Taking the step to find a counsellor can be overwhelming and uncertain. The relationship between you and whomever you choose as your counsellor is important and sacred. I’m honoured that you have taken the time to consider me to be a part of this journey with you.
As a counsellor, I enjoy creating a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to connect with yourself. Often in life, there is much noise that can drown out that connection. But I believe you have everything in you to reconnect and guide you through your life. I am honoured to journey with you and lean in with you with curiosity, creativity, and play.
You have so much value in who you are today! No matter your diagnosis, gender, neuro-diversity, sexual preference, identity, culture, background, religion, age, abilities, or ways you choose to cope – you have great value – just as you are. My hope is that in our time together you will be able to lean into your strengths and resilience in your journey through life.
Areas that I support clients include (but are not limited to):
Anxiety
Depression
Relationships
Grief & Loss
Adjustment & Life Transitions
Stress
ADHD or Executive Functioning stressors
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counselling from Fresno Pacific University, Fresno, CA. Some of the methods I use include Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused, and Narrative. I incorporate an Attachment-based approach, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy skills, Parts work, Somatic practice, and Motivational Interviewing into my work. I have been a counsellor previously in elementary/middle school/high school settings along with a private community practice and perinatal services. In my free time, I enjoy biking, walking, and hiking with friends or family along with sitting by a fire, on a porch or in the living room with some great conversation, a great book or a good movie.
Divorce Coach / Co-parenting Support
In addition to my individual counselling work, I focus on helping families through separation, divorce, and co-parenting with a focus of putting the needs/interests of the children and the family at the centre - focusing on a more collaborative approach. This is a specialized area of work that helps lower the cost of lawyer bills and helps family members navigate through such a difficult transition.
