Counselling Rates
Standard Rates for Counselling:
As Thrive is a Collective, please note that every practitioner operates their own business, collects payment, and sets their own rates. Please note that not all counsellors at Thrive Collective have the same rates.
Standard counselling sessions for individuals begins at $150 and up for a 50 min appointment depending on the counsellor you choose and what type of session you require.
Couples & Family sessions do cost more than individual sessions.
Internship student rates are $60 per session. These are masters level students who have completed nearly all of their course work. **Please note that you cannot submit these sessions with students for reimbursement through your extended health provider.
Longer sessions are available and can be pre-arranged with your individual therapist.
We are happy to offer reduced rates to clients through our team members who are pre-licensed. This means that they have completed all schooling and training and are awaiting registration.
Cancellation Policy:
Your sessions is reserved especially for you. We require 48 hours notice via email (info@thrivewellbc.com) or telephone 604.705.4000 - please leave voicemail.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you!
A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client.
As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours notice will be charged a fee of $50. If there is less than 24 hours notice, or the appointment is missed entirely, the full fee will likely be charged.

*Please note that Acupuncture & Fire cupping is exempt from GST
Nutrition Rates

Initial Assessment – 60 minutes - $150
Follow Up appointments – 60 minutes - $125
Additional nutrition services available include grocery store tours, cooking demos, expos, menu development and/or analysis
Dietitian services may be covered by your Extended Health Benefits. Please contact your provider for details. All clients will be provided with an official receipt for insurance purposes.
Insurance + Coverage
Many extended health plans, such as Pacific Blue Cross and Great West Life reimburse clients for the costs of counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. It is strongly recommended that you call your plan provider to ensure coverage and any annual dollar limits, as it is common that the print material provided to plan members is often incomplete and/or can be unclear. If you need help navigating this process, please let us know and we would be more than willing to assist you.
