About me / My approach
Hi, I’m Rose (she/her). I know how overwhelming life can feel when you’re stuck in uncertainty, navigating relationship challenges, or struggling with emotional distress. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, experiencing self-doubt, or looking for relief from ongoing stress or symptoms, I’m here to support you in a space where you feel heard, understood, and respected.
My approach to counselling is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, even when it doesn’t feel that way. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and work toward creating meaningful, lasting change that feels aligned with who you are.
Who I Support
I support individuals and couples navigating:
Trauma and emotional distress
EMDR therapy
Postpartum and perinatal challenges
Couples and sex therapy
Anxiety and perfectionism
Body image and self-esteem concerns
Stress, burnout, and life transitions
Couples Counselling
Relationships can be deeply rewarding, but they can also bring challenges that feel difficult to navigate alone. I’m passionate about helping couples strengthen their connection, improve communication, and work through conflict in a supportive and constructive way.
As a Level 1 and Level 2 trained Gottman Couples Therapist, I use evidence-based tools to help partners build trust, deepen intimacy, and create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
My Approach
My counselling style is person-centred and trauma-informed, grounded in the understanding that your experiences shape how you move through the world. I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies depending on your goals and needs, including:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
Mindfulness-based approaches
Integrative Sex Therapy
The Gottman Method for Couples
Each session is tailored to you, with a focus on building insight, emotional safety, and practical tools for growth.
A Supportive Space for Healing
By tailoring our work to your specific needs, I strive to create an environment where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are met with empathy and understanding.
Building a strong foundation of trust and connection is at the heart of my practice. I believe the relationship between you and your counsellor is deeply personal and central to the work we do together. It’s a privilege to be considered as a companion on your journey toward healing and growth.
A Little About Me
When not in the counselling chair, I wear many hats: daughter, sister, friend, animal lover, wannabe Zumba instructor, and food enthusiast. I love binge-watching a good reality TV show and baking yummy treats during my downtime.

Common Questions
What is trauma therapy?
Trauma therapy helps people process and heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences that continue to affect their emotional well-being, relationships, or sense of safety. This can include single events or long-term emotional stress.
What is EMDR therapy and how does it work?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming. It uses guided bilateral stimulation to reduce emotional intensity and support healing.
How do I know if EMDR or trauma therapy is right for me?
If you feel stuck, triggered, emotionally overwhelmed, or affected by past experiences, trauma therapy may be helpful. A consultation can help determine whether EMDR or another approach is the best fit for your goals.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and discussing your goals. There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to. The focus is on creating safety and building trust.
