Perhaps you are overwhelmed or anxious. Maybe your responsibilities at work or home are causing stress that is just not manageable anymore. Each day might be an uphill battle, and you feel unmotivated, like you have nothing left to give. You’re uncertain about what’s next, and you feel unprepared to move forward.
Reaching out for help can be hard. But it can also be a first step in your journey towards change. You don’t need to struggle alone.
Connection with others can bring relief, and having someone walk with you on your journey can make the load lighter and the path clearer.
I am honoured to have the opportunity to walk alongside my clients as they navigate life’s challenges. Your goal might be to heal from past experiences or relationships; to find peace or sense of calm; better emotional regulation; boundary setting or assertiveness; increased confidence or self-worth; better communication in relationships; or something else. Whatever your struggle, together we can determine where you want to be, and find the way forward. I am able to provide support for you, sharing tools and techniques that will help you work towards meaningful change.
I offer a safe, calm and non-judgmental environment for clients, and my approach is client-centred and collaborative. I will listen to your hopes for yourself and your future, and together we will create a plan to help you begin; we will explore what healing and growth looks like for you. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based, goal-oriented approach, using evidence-based methods such as solution focused therapy (SFT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as well as drawing on elements of mindfulness and somatic therapies.
I have completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and previously earned a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Sociology from Simon Fraser University. I also have additional training in solution focused therapy and am regularly participating in professional development opportunities to learn new tools to help my clients.
Outside of my counselling practice, I enjoy being outside or playing board games with my family, spending time with our many pets, baking, knitting, and watching superhero movies.
I support adult individuals (18+) struggling with:
- life transitions
- postpartum challenges
- relationship difficulties
- anxiety
- depression
- difficulties in decision-making
- self-esteem
- grief or loss
