Fire cupping should not be painful. Most people describe the sensation as warm, soothing, and similar to a deep tissue massage. You may feel pressure or tightness where the cups are placed, but treatments are adjusted to your comfort level.

Temporary circular marks are common after fire cupping. These are not bruises and usually fade within a few days to a week, depending on your body and circulation. Your practitioner will explain what to expect before treatment.
