Renee Gregerson, Student Intern

Hello!

We never know what life will throw at us, but I do know that we do not have to face the challenges that arise on our own. Personal growth and a deeper understanding of who we are and what we are capable of can be supported through therapeutic practice. As a compassionate intern counsellor, I take a person-centered approach where we work together towards goals that align with your values. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, I hope to offer an opportunity for my clients to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. We are only human but at the same time we are amazingly human; the difficulties we find ourselves in can weigh us down and affect how we function in our daily lives and within our relationships, however, within all of us lies the potential and strength to grow from what we know and what we experience. Within my therapeutic practice, I use solution focused therapy where we determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to achieve your vision successfully. I also use emotion focused therapy, with a strength-based approach, to help guide one’s individual choice and decision making as we focus on your positive attributes as a resource in building resilience.
