Amy Dreyer, she/her Student Intern

Welcome—I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. I am passionate about fostering connection and supporting clients in their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I believe the root of suffering often lies in disconnection—from the self, the body, and others.

My work centres on helping clients feel less alone in their pain.

Do any of these statements sound familiar to you?

“I don’t know who I am anymore and I want to find myself again”

“I have a hard time saying no, even when I’m burnt out.”“I still believe in God but I’m angry at the church”

“I’m questioning everything I used to believe in”

“I want to feel at home in my body.”

“I think I need to learn how to feel my feelings”

My Approach

Grounded in a trauma-informed, queer-affirming, and feminist perspective, I strive to create a collaborative and compassionate space. I integrate relational and somatic approaches to therapy, drawing from attachment theory and nervous system-informed practices to support you in feeling safe, regulated, and more connected to yourself.

A Little More About Me

Originally from South Africa, I immigrated to Canada at age 16, a transition that shaped how I understand identity, belonging, and cultural adaptation. My background in social psychology continues to inform my practice, particularly in how I think about power, social context, and the systems that shape our mental health. In our work together, I aim to hold space for both the impact of systemic injustice and your unique story of resilience and growth.

When I don’t have my head in the books, you’ll often find me exploring the trails of the North Shore Mountains, savouring a good cup of coffee, or soaking up any dapple of sunlight. The ocean is my happy place; watching the waves roll in, dipping my toes in the water, or simply breathing in the salty air. I also enjoy listening to podcasts, spending time with my two dogs, and occasionally tackling a 5K run (sometimes enthusiastically, sometimes not so much).

My own journey navigating the intersection of mental health, embodiment, and spirituality is one of the reasons I was drawn to this work. I know how relieving it can be to have someone walk alongside you during difficult times, and I hope to offer that same support as you navigate your own path.
