I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#3483) in good standing with over 2 decades experience working as an educator and counsellor.
My hope is to ease people’s struggles and to empower them to navigate life’s challenges in healthy ways. I work collaboratively with my clients by providing a supportive environment where they can work through their struggles, build on their strengths and develop emotional resilience.
I help people learn how to regulate and express their emotions in more effective ways and provide them with skills and strategies to feel more present, happier and healthier. My goal is to help people learn how to be kinder to themselves and to feel courageous and capable to face life’s challenges. I use a variety of counselling modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy- informed (DBT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Mindfulness and Self-compassion, and other strength based and experiential therapies

My training includes a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of
British Columbia and Bachelors of Education and Arts Degrees from Queen’s
University. I also have additional training in Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Emotion
Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Adventure and Wilderness Therapy.
Be sure to check with your extended health plan or Employee Assistance program as
many insurance programs reimburse counselling with a R.C.C. I am also an approved
counsellor with the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP).
